Job
Title: Lead

Back Up Position:  Raw Meat Supervisor

ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.

38° - 45° temperatures

Lift 40 lbs.

Stand for long periods

Proper use of butcher knife/wizard knives/meat hooks

Trimming raw meat

Operate pallet jack to   move combos

Operate Holac Dicer

Operate Tiromat

Operate Hauptmann

Operate Rotoclaw

Operate Injector

Operate Tumblers

Quality Controls

Safety

Teamwork

Other duties deemed   necessary by management

Machine Operator

Product Specs

Basic supervision of   an area

Training of new   employees

Increase Productivity

Maintain High Quality   Standards

Clean floors

Empty trash / change   bags

Wash Combos / Tables /   Conveyors

Pick up meat off of   the floor to discard

Clean drains

Fill Soap and Towels   Dispenser

Use of Chemicals

Use of hot water

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.

REASONING
ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,
diagram, or schedule form.

 

PHYSICAL
DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT: : The physical demands described

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to stand and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to

occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds,
frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move
up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability
to adjust focus. The work environment characteristics described here are
representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly
works near moving mechanical parts.

• Promote and enforce compliance with all employees.

• Report any quality or food safety issues immediately.

 

In the event of a food safety issue, the employee is to report the issue to QA Management (QA Supervisor or QA Manager).  Should the QA Manager be absent from the plant, the employee should escalate the issue to the Director of Technical Service, the Director of Operations, or the EVP of Operations.

direct supervisor/manager is absent from the plant, please refer to the
Director of Technical Services, Director of Operations, or VP of Operations.
